It's simple. Dinosaur Takeout works 2 ways:

1. Subscription Service. Prepay a flat-rate for a week or a month, or for a set number of meals, and tell us what day you would like them delivered (Tuesday-Thursday). Then, tell us how many meals you would like in each delivery. Each week, we will deliver your meal kits to your office or home on the same day (multiple delivery days are also an option to ensure freshness). You can let us decide which meals you will receive each week (keeping your allergies and preferences in mind), or you can choose from our weekly menu.

2. Order Online. Simply choose the meals you'd like to order from our seasonal menu, add your selections to the shopping cart, choose your payment method and we'll deliver them to your home or office (next day deliveries available Tuesday-Thursday...see details below). You may pay for your order when you checkout with a credit card or choose the "Pay on Delivery" option to pay for your order when you get it. We accept cash and major credit cards at the time of delivery using Square secure mobile checkout. Once your meal kits arrive, simply stick them in the fridge until you are ready to cook or head home from your office. You can order a few meals for the week or one at a time. Our kits will stay fresh for up to 3 days from the time they are delivered, so feel free to stock up. We make it easy to try new things and explore new flavors. With the simple 3-step instructions included in every kit, you can have a complete and balanced dinner on the table in less than 30 minutes whether you are experienced in the kitchen or just learning. Our meals are not frozen dinners or your typical restaurant takeout. We provide uncooked, locally-sourced meats and fresh ingredients that have been sliced, diced and chopped for each recipe, along with delicious sides and our own homemade sauces and dressings. This allows you to save time, enjoy the cooking process, and have more control over what goes into your meals. You can control how much oil or seasoning goes into your dinner and have the satisfaction of a great meal that you’ve created.

Our meal kits contain fresh, raw ingredients including natural meats, seafood and produce with no added preservatives. Each one is marked with a "cook by" date and has a shelf life of at least 3 days from the time it is delivered, so feel free to order multiple kits for the week. We purchase our locally-raised raw meats and poultry fresh from local vendors and assemble your meals when they are ordered to ensure you get the highest quality ingredients.

Yes, most definitely. Because our meals are fresh and may contain raw meats and seafood, it’s very important that you keep the kits refrigerated at home or at work, just as you would want to keep your grocery items cold after you leave the store. Commuting from work? Your meal kits will be fine during your commute.

Our meals are currently available in 3 sizes: the SINGLE portion feeds one person, the DOUBLE feeds two (or one with leftovers!) and our FAMILY size will feed four to five. Portion sizes are generous, but we understand that appetites vary. Each kit contains a complete meal with protein, starch and vegetables. Some are served with side dishes and salads too. Currently, we are offering next-day delivery in limited areas (see map for more details) on all orders unless otherwise noted on the order form. Deliveries may be scheduled for future dates as well. For example, you can order your Dinosaur Takeout meals on Monday and request them to be delivered on Thursday if you'd like. This can help you plan ahead.
Our drivers currently deliver Tuesday through Thursday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Your order will arrive at some point during that window of time on the scheduled delivery day. If you need to include specific delivery instructions or time preferences to make things easier, simply enter them in the provided field on your order form. We will do all we can to accommodate your needs.
A $2.00 delivery charge will be added to orders less than $20.00.

We presently deliver to offices and residences in downtown Seattle and surrounding neighborhoods. Check out our map to see our delivery zone. We hope to expand again soon. Please drop us a note letting us know what area you'd like to see us in next! Also, feel free to call or write to discuss delivery options with us if you are located outside the current zone. We are happy make exceptions for large orders or special circumstances.
For home or doorstep delivery, arrangements can be made to leave your meal in a cooler or some insulated/refrigerated container.

You may pay for your order securely when you check out with a Credit or Debit Card. When you pay online in advance, we will leave your order with your front desk attendant unless you’ve provided other arrangements in your order form. Just make sure your meals make it into the refrigerator right away!
We also accept cash and major credit cards at the time of delivery using Square secure mobile checkout. If you choose the "Pay on Delivery" option, we can call you right before we arrive to coordinate our delivery with your payment if you wish. Just let us know on the order form.

Accounts are created during checkout automatically when you create your first order by selecting the "Create Account" checkbox at the bottom of the billing address. You can also create an account by clicking "Log In" at the top right corner of any page.

Your account saves your address information to make faster checkouts in the future. You can also view your past orders to remember what dishes you've had and enjoyed for future reference!

All information in your account is safe with us. We do not provide your information with anyone else and we do not have access to your credit/debit card numbers.

Your account keeps tracks of your orders so you can remember which meals you've tried and loved. It also retains your billing and delivery addresses so you don't have to type them every time. However, your credit card information is NOT saved in your account information. Also, we do not share your information with other companies or mailing lists.

Orders over $20 are delivered free within our delivery zone. A $2 flat-rate charge will be added to orders less than $20. If you are outside of our delivery zone and would like to order, minimums and additional charges may apply. Email us and we will be happy to discuss options. 

Don’t worry about that. Our drivers are a very important part of our team. We'll take care of them.

We'll give you the option of picking and choosing which meals you receive, or if you are the adventurous type, you can leave the choices to us and we'll pick for you to make things even easier! You'll receive something new and exciting every week with our seasonal specials!
Want to purchase a gift subscription for someone else? You can do that too. We'll make sure they receive their meals freshly packed and ready to cook.

We want nothing more than to make sure your experience with us is flawless. Give us a call, and we'll fix it.

We plan to add freshly baked desserts, bottled sodas, waters and teas along with our own packaged homemade sauces and dressings to our menu in the near future. Also, fresh salads, appetizers, side dishes and other items will be available soon. It's all on our to-do list.

Our goal is to use minimum packaging for our meal kits. All of the plastic containers are recyclable, and some (which are labeled) are compostable! We use simple plastic resealable and sandwich bags when we can to keep your ingredients fresh and minimize waste. The brown box containing the ingredients is not recyclable due to the plastic coating inside, but it works great for holding leftovers for work the next day! The containers are reusable of course; just be sure to wash them thoroughly if they contained meat or dairy. The compostable ones are made with food-based plastics and are great for cold storage but will not hold up in the microwave.

All common allergens, as defined by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration, are clearly noted in the product descriptions on our website. Common allergens include milk, egg, fish, shellfish, nuts, wheat, peanuts and soy. If you have any further questions or concerns, contact us for help.
